How can I add a toolbar button? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello:

I'm new to CRM and this will be my first approach to programming it. We have a salesorder form with a print button in the toolbar. Now we want to add a new button to print a different report for the salesorder. How can I do that?

    Thanks in advance...

    Pablo.

  • Hi Pablo,

The API itself does not have the capability of allowing you to add another toolbar button to the toolbar.  It is considered for future version of the viewer.  In the Visual Studio 2010 version of the viewer controls, you will have the ability to write your own toolbar though.

Could you explain your scenario some more?  Here is what I understand:

    1.  You have a CRM app with Report Viewer control.
    2.  You are displaying a sales order report.
    3.  You can print this sales order report using the print button in the toolbar.
    4.  How is the "different" salesorder report related to the current one that is displayed?  And do you want to print the 2nd report while the 1st one is still displayed in the UI?

    Thanks.
