Graphical Indicators for Custom Fields PS2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I am trying to create a custom field in PWA that has a graphical indicator to show when Actual work > Baseline work.

Is it possible to use fields as values for the graphical indicator? I received this error message when I tried to use Baseline Work as the value:

"This graphical indicator definition contains references to fields that do not
exist in the system. Please correct it and try again."

The fact that this error message exists, makes me think you can use fields as values. But, I am not sure why it would say Baseline Work does not exist in the system. I use the baseline work field all over the place, and it definitely exists.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • How are you trying to create the field? Is it a project level field or task level? Is it a text field or number?

My guess is it is one of these parameters that is messing the equation up.

Here is an example what I would do:

    Entity: Project Or Task

    Type: Number

Formula: [Actual Work] - [Baseline Work]

    Indicator:

    =0, green

    >0, Red

    <0, Yellow
