Focal Length of Kinect V2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

    I'm working on eye-gaze estimation using a Kinect v2. Focal length of IR camera is an essential parameter involved in my equations for eye calibration. So I want to know the exact value of it. As I know, focal length of Kinect v1 is 580 (in pixels). What's the value of focal length and principal point for kinect v2?

    Does the method MapDepthPointToCameraSpace() use the following equations to convert image plane to camera space?

    x_world = (x_screen - c_x) * z_world / f_x;

    - y_world = (y_screen - c_y) * z_world / f_y;

    where f_x and f_y is the focal length in x and y direction, and  c_x, c_y is the x, y coordinate of principal point.

    Thanks!

    Michelle

  • Perhaps look into x->pCoordMapper->GetDepthCameraIntrinsics(xxxx)
