Can you install the MS Report Viewer 2012 Runtime w/o all the different culture DLL's? RRS feed

    It looks like the install msi installs 10 versions of the DLLs with different "culture" settings. For example, the

    Microsoft.ReportViwer.Common.Resources version 11.0.0.0 has 10 version with the culture setting of vh-CHT, ch-CHS, ru, pt, ko, ja, it, fr, es, de

    even though we picked English as the language when we downloaded the install.

    Any ideas how to limit the install to only the files you need?

                 Greetings!

    I checked the entire downloads available. Unfortunately there is no language specific download available for ReportViewer.

    Available downloads - http://search.microsoft.com/en-gb/DownloadResults.aspx?q=report+viewer

    It's small package so it should not hamper your memory needs much. Just link and use the language you need. Due to JIT compilation feature of .NET it never loads unnecessary things to the memory at Runtime.
