Email Alerts not working on Application Insights RRS feed

  • We have numerous Application Insights set up to monitor our websites. Yesterday one of the sets of AI's we had set up experienced many failures but we did not receive any email notification alerts that should have alerted us that there were issues. After speaking with our support people, it appears that the MX record for mail.windowsazure.com is missing a proper A record which is causing reverse DNS lookups to fail. This is not allowing those email notifications to reach us without us disabling security protocols.

    Hopefully this was an oversight and can be remedied quickly.

    This forum is for Azure HDInsight service and not for Application Insights. I suggest, you post this issue to the AL forum here.
