web 3 expression web 4 does not work on windows 10 RRS feed

  • keep getting and the program stops working on installation and say will get back with you when Microsoft finds the answer so what is this they just quite supporting there own software like expression web 4 outlook and many others who can help with these installations.

  • This is a user-to-user forum, not a Microsoft Technical Support forum.  We have no idea what is wrong with your computer.   Expression Web 4 runs just fine on Win 10 - I have it on 3 different computers.

    As to support:  EW4's last release was years ago.  Microsoft no longer supports it, but does let you have the last version for free.

    It's up to you to figure out what is wrong with your installation.  There are many threads in this forum with suggestions (e.g., a bad installation of the asp.net framework will mess up EW, as one example; installing and running "As Administrator" solves problems for others, etc.).

    Since you also mentioned Outlook (which has nothing to do with Expression Web) I can assure you that it also runs in Win 10 (unless you have a very old version).  Again, something is fundamentally wrong with your computer, and it sounds like it's far beyond Expression Web not working.

  • What Kathy said. I have both Outlook 2007 and EW4 SP2a running just fine on Windows 10. Your problem is not with either application, but with your own system.

    As Kathy noted, there have been many instances of similar failures in this forum, with many suggested (and several successful) solutions for the various causes/symptoms. You can use the "Search MSDN with Bing" box above to search for your error message text. It will find all forum threads in which that error message text has been mentioned, and will even mark those which have been answered, so you can narrow your search down to likely solutions.
