Vertex Shader debugging and SurfaceImageSource


  • I'm writing a SurfaceImageSource component so that I can mix XAML and Direct3D in the same program. There's a problem with my shader and I'm trying to debug it. I've got Visual Studio set to debug native code. While I can start the program with DirectX debugging turned and pressing PrintScreen appears to capture frams what I see in Visual Studio is all black while what shows up on the screen is different.  I tried it again in a project with a DirectX page and I am getting the same result. 

    Does DirectX frame capturing not work correctly in programs that are not using DirectX only for UI rendering?
