MCTS (.NET 3.5 and WCF) Certification Age

Question
-
Hi All,
I am totally new to this forum. I am trying to do my MCTS in above mentioned areas. However I am worried about the time till when the certification would last valid in terms of technical advances in .NET.
I have started studying and hope to complete MCTS sometime before this year end as I have to manage work and study both. I am confused that by the time I would be MCTS in these areas, would they be still upfront in the industry? or I would have to run for an upgrade.
I can understand that technologies change very fast, but would it impact my certification?
Can any one help me figure out this ?
Thanks

This is a common problem right now with the upcoming release of .NET 4.0
But the adoption rate of .NET 4.0 will take a while.
So you can still get your WCF 3.5 cert and then probably do one exam to get 4.0 which will show profeciency on both types of the product so you can do upgrades etc and also show reasons to go from 3.5 to 4.0 for example
WCF 3.5 will be around for a while

Any certification stands valid, till Microsoft supports the product.
As mentioned by Niall - "adoption rate of .NET 4.0 will take a while", even I feel this is true.
B'coz WCF is the foundation to build Service Oriented Applications (SOA). .Net 4.0 will be a wrapper around WCF. (I think so. :) )
Thus its fine to go ahead with certification and later upgrade.- Proposed as answer by Abhijeet I Friday, June 26, 2009 12:47 PM

This is the problem with microsoft. They are releasing new versions so frequently.. that you will fall in loop and at the end the output is null..
