  • Hi,

I'm not sure if I understand your question right.

I know that the WPT allow you to build "own" event provider.
And as part of this provider you should able to bring own mark point as well.
So may be implement just a unique event id.

Please have a look at the following workflow:

  • Hi

Your link does not work, because "Page not found".

If i look etl-file as csv-format i see the marks (for example) in lines:

                      Mark,      27765, mark_kernel_Button_6_start

                      Mark,     441355, mark_user_Button_6_stop

These are maked by "xperf -m" (in .bat-file).

But how to do this same by my own C++-application ? I can write ETW-providers and this works fine, but how to write marks (some kind of special case of ETW-providers ?) ?

  • Hi,

Not sure in detail but you should able to write a own event which do nothing. Just to have a unique ID and whenever nou need to provide a "mark" you can run / execute this event.
