How to get rid of anoying flash when hover over toggle button? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm getting this annoying flash when I hover over a toggle button that is activated. Any ideas how to get rid of this? I tried making all the colors for hover over the same as when active, but it's not working. >.<

  • Hi,

Hard to say without seeing what you're seeing. Do you have any code behind the MouseMove event?

If you create a blank database and put a toggle button on a new form, do you still get the "flash?"

  • Yes, even if I start a new blank database the flicker still happens. I don't think it is an issue with my database in particular. There is really no functional errors, just looks very annoying.

  • Hi,

Just as a test, in the new blank database with the still flickering toggle button, try removing themes. Maybe it's something like:

    Use Themes = No

in one of the Settings or Properties.

See if it makes any differences.

    Hope it helps...

    Hi Jamie,

Strange! I have no problems with my good, old A2003, nor my multitude of customers that use A2003 through A2016.

There must be somewhere some setting.

  • Hi,

I am using 2010 and made a quick demo. Do you see the flicker below?

    Correction!

I had something else in mind.

In fact, I do not use toggle buttons at all. For this purpose I use standard controls, that behave as toggle buttons by setting a special property.
