BizTalk 2010: Export single party from TPM

Question
-
Hi there!
I need some help with a task, which I thought it would be very common:
We built a EDI solution with the use of the new TPM model of BizTalk 2010. We use a staging concept with a test and a production system. When we are setting up a new partner EDI communication we first create BizTalk artifacts and the party configuration in our test system and make the tests with the partner. If all succeeds, we want to export our complete party (BizTalk artefacts, binding AND the specific party configuration) to import this package in the production system. At this stage I feel confused: I don´t know how to export a single agreement/party configuration from the TPM. I only can export ALL parties. But this is what we absolutly don´t want, since we have lot´s of parties and we can not assure, that alle the configuration in the test system are in sync with the production system.
Does anybody has an idea how I can achieve my goal? Are there others, who got similar problems?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Once you export the Binding File from BizTalk Admin Console, you can manually edit the xml file to have only the Party you want.

Hi,
There is no out of Box solution. One way is to edit the xml file.
The other way may be Export the whole binding, do not edit it, Import it in your other system and then delete whatever is not necessary. I think in this way it will be less error prone.
Thanks

Is there not a automatic solution? Manually editing the binding files is very error prone, if there are more than 50 partners with lots of agreements.Wednesday, December 15, 2010 8:43 AM
