Upgrade Durable extension RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've used for my Durable Function in Javascript "Diagnose and solve problems".

    One of the recommended Action is: "This app is using version 1.8.5 of the Durable extension, which is older than the latest 2.2.1 version. Upgrading to the latest version of the Durable extension may resolve performance and functional issues. Please upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft.Azure.WebJobs.Extensions.DurableTask. To be notified of future updates, please subscribe to releases in the extension's GitHub page. Also, see the Release Notes in GitHub for more information on issues which have been recently resolved. Please let us know on GitHub if there are blocking issues preventing you from upgrading."

    It's unclear for me how to upgrade this extension in Visual Studio Code and/or Azure Portal. When I ran "func extensions install -p Microsoft.Azure.WebJobs.Extensions.DurableTask -v 2.2.0", it returns with "No action performed. Extension bundle is configured in ....host.json" The content of this file contains the following: "

      "version": "2.0",
        "extensions": {
          "durableTask": {
            "hubName": "faLabHub"
      "extensionBundle": {
        "id": "Microsoft.Azure.Functions.ExtensionBundle",
        "version": "[1.*, 2.0.0)"
      "logging": {
        "fileLoggingMode": "always",
        "logLevel": {
          "default": "Information",
          "Host.Results": "Information",
          "Function": "Information",
          "Host.Aggregator": "Information"

    It's no clear for me now what to do with the recommended action. Do you have an action plan to solve this issue?
