[Redemption] Wrong FolderPath-attribute, when folder is under \\mail@domain.com\IPM_SUBTREE RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I have Redemption.dll 5.16.0.4972.

One Mailbox (Exchange 2010) has IPM_SUBTREE folder with subfolders in folder tree.

When I try become a path for these subfolders, IPM_SUBTREE stays not in the FolderPath.

For example, path is \\mail@domain.com\IPM_SUBTREE\Folder, but FolderPath is \\mail@domain.com\Folder.

    $ExchangeSession = New-Object -COM "Redemption.RDOSession"

    $ExchangeSession.LogonExchangeMailbox($primarySMTP,$ExchangeServer)

    $ExchangeSession.Stores.DefaultStore.IPMRootFolder.Folders.Item("IPM_SUBTREE").Folders | Select FolderPath

    How can this be fixed?

    Thanks.

  • "IPM_SUBTREE" is usually the name of the IPM root folder itself, and its name is never included in the folder path since it is always relative to that folder. Does Outlook actually show a folder named "IPM_SUBTREE" in the folder tree view?

  • Please send a message to redemption at dimastr dot com, and I will send you the debug version of Redemption. Can you also include a screenshot of the folder tree that shows the folder in question along with its parents and IPM_SUBTREE?
