Windows CE 5.0 and stored passwords RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have a issue that I hope someone can assist with, and if this is the wrong forum please let me know where I should ask this question.  In the file explorer I can navigate to a shared resource (folder) on a desktop.  The shared folder needs credentials in order to access.  Once the credentials are entered there is an option to store the user name and password.  I would like to know if anyone knows how to change those credentials.  I am currently unfamiliar with how to go about doing this due to the account that the handheld will be using to get to the shared folder will have a password change occasionally and the only way that I have been able to change the credentials is by doing a cold boot on the device.  I would like to know if there is a way to have that dialog box to put in the user name and password originally can been seen again in order to change the password being used automatically.

Thanks for any assistance that can be provided.

  • If the identity no longer allows the share to be connected, doesn't NetUI pop up the user name and password dialog again?  If you enter the new password, that should work and save the new password, if you tell it to do that.  If that doesn't work, we'll have to browse through the source code and see what we can do...
