USB Driver Level Re-enumeration Test Fail RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We are testing KMDFv1.9 USB-Serial driver for DTM (v1.5, OS Win7-64) USB Driver Level Re-enumeration test of USB Connectivity category is failing with below error

    Error 2/22/2011 4:54:49.153 PM Failed to obtain device handle. File: d:\5429t\testsrc\driverstest\usb\logotests\usbvirttest\user\usbdevicetest.cpp Line: 657 Error Type: HRESULT Error Code: 0x0 Error Text: The operation completed successfully

    Please let us know where excatly is the problem.

    Note: We tried connecting our USB device with and without 2.0 USB intermediate hub.

    It's likely that your device is not properly recovering after its hub port
    does a power cycle. The timing requirements in the USB spec for reset and
    power up are rather strict, and must be followed.

  • When do you intend to connect WinDbg and step into your driver code? More than likely that will provide you a really good idea where your code is failing.

    One query, However we are running DTM case, is it possible to use WinDbg on DTM client

    One more clarification: This behaviour is not observed on different device (having different VID and PID) however we used the same driver.
