The Casablanca downloads that are available on this site have been refreshed to support Windows 8 Release Preview and Visual Studio 2012 RC. Previous preview versions of these products are no longer supported, but Visual Studio 2010, Windows Vista,
and Windows 7 (as well as the corresponding server SKUs) are supported. The Azure SDK version we have tested this with is 1.7.
If you have the old bits installed and want to update, please make sure to uninstall first. Also, the samples have been updated for the new release, since there were breaking changes in the Windows 8 / VS release updates. This mostly affects the Windows
8 WinRT-based client samples. Please make sure to re-extract the samples. Also,
do re-read the post-installation readme file, since there have been significant updates. In particular, pay attention to the IIS recommended configuration installation and the comments on getting environment variables right on some
Windows 8 systems.
The Azure Wizard now also support Visual Studio 2012 RC, in addition to Visual Studio 2010.
We have fixed a number of bugs reported on the forum, as well as some that we found ourselves. HTTP over SSL (HTTPS) is now supported by the client implementations, as well as the Azure Storage library. To set up for SSL on the listener side, please
use IIS / Web Role and configure IIS for SSL. There is no support for SSL in the non-IIS listener.
We still do not support client certificates or programmatically setting the web proxy configuration.
