Hosting dss on XP Home RRS feed

  • I have a XP-home based computer onboard a robot.  The computer has everything installed and works fine to run my service locally.  My problem is that I want to be able to connect to this computer via an ad-hoc wireless network (also working).  I know that a bunch of networking services are not available in XP-home, such as remote desktop.  Everytime I try to connect to the dss service ( it asks me for a username and password.
I have provided the NT account passwords, but to no avail.  Is this an XP home issue?  Maybe just a deployment issue?
