Information on Windows 8/8.1 Live Tile Apps limits

    Question

  • Windows 8/8.1 seems to have a limit of 15 Live Tiles (not including those that are native
in Windows). And it seems that if you cross that limit even by uninstalling and re-installing
the same Apps (with Live Tiles) further installs of Live Tile Apps will not work. Even for ones
that previously were working fine. i.e. you have 5 Live Tile Apps installed from the Windows
Store - you uninstall and re-install the same ones until the total reaches 15 - subsequent
uninstalls and then re-installs will no longer result in a functioning Live Tile App once that
    total reaches 15 installs.

    1. I have not checked all of that out however I have received several reports that indicate it
might be true. Anyone have additional information?

    2. If the 15 limit is reached obviously a Refresh or Reset would resolve it however is there
an easier or more elegant method of clearing the cache or mechanism tracking that limit?
