running nero 10 and sony ericsson companion - .NET 3.5 Framework is missing

has anyone been able to run nero10 and Sony Ericsson companion or pc suite 6 on this OS? I can only run sony ericsson pc suite 5 but can't install nero10 cos of the absence of net framework 3.5 which is giving me pblm

Some people reported they were able to install .NET Framework 3.5 as part of the Windows Live Essentials 2011 (http://get.live.com).

.NET 3.5 is not installed by default to save disk space, but it is in the add/remove windows features list. You can install it from the add/remove Turn Windows Features On or Off section of the Programs and Features Control Panel. .NET 3.5 is an example of a feature that is available but not in the image to save space. It downloads from WU when you install it.
