In Windows 2007, ahtCommonFileOpenSave, can't default dialog to "Computer" root. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm writing Access VBA code which fills in a form text box with the path to a file.  What I want to do, is allow the user to either use the default path that's stored in a table, or navigate to the file starting at the "Computer" root, and drilling down to the path (i.e. C:\Folder\SubFolder\File.ext):

I've tried using the GUID "::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}," and it kind of works.  What it does, is bring up the dialog with a path filled in {note the path (which is actually "H:\Desktop\Current Indications\Template"):

Is there anyway to solve this?
