  •   Hi  All,

We had created team project collection and team project in tfs (Team Foundation Server). then added the asp.net website

    to the tfs team project.

My collegues and me then mapped the project to our local system.

On my collegue system the project opens as expected.

I connected to TFS using the "Team" menu "connect to team foundation server" option.

Unfortunately on my system, when i open the local system mapped project i get below error message in

    visual studio output window.

Error opening web http://localhost:61641. Unable to open the Web site 'http://localhost:61641'.  The Web server 'http://localhost:61641' could not be found.

I opened the .sln file in notepad and found that http://localhost:61641 has to do something with TFS.

    Kindly Help.

    Thanks in Advance.

  • Hi EmpAnsar,

For your situation, you can confirm the host machine name of your ASP.NET website. When open the project on your local machine, use the host machine name to replace localhost in the url.

You can browser the url on your browser directly, only you can view with your browser then you can open the mapped project normally. If you have any other concerns, please give out more details about your scenario. Thanks for your understanding.
