Emotion Demo project does not work on VS2013,ver12.0, Update 4 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

    Being every every excited playing with the demos I got very disappointed.

    The demoproject does not work due to errors in the namespace references.

    using Microsoft.ProjectOxford.Emotion;
    using Microsoft.QualityTools.Testing.Fakes;
    using Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UnitTesting;

    using System.Net.Http.Fakes;

    does not work and the proper place of the references are unclear or not available on my machine.

    I would be happy if you upload a version that runs out-of-the-box in my configuration.

    Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2013
    Version 12.0.31101.00 Update 4
    Microsoft .NET Framework
    Version 4.6.00079

    Installed Version: Professional

  • Hi,

    I have the same problem as you. I think we have to use VS Pro/Ultimate only for these references (Visual Studio Fakes)!!

    Best regards.

    Could you please provide me the link that you downloaded the 'demoproject' ? Then we can verify the problem you have met.

  • Morten,

    I think in Visual Studio Community 2013 the Fakes is not part of it. And the Fakes require Visual Studio Premium and beyond.

  • Hi QI TIE,

    Thanks for the fast and quite acurate reply.

    I do consider to apply my CTO for an investment in Visual Studio Premium.

  • Hello Morten,

    The updated Emotion demo project now available on the Project Oxford SDK site and GitHub no longer requires the Visual Studio Fakes, so you should be able to use this with the Visual Studio Community.

    Thanks for brining this to our attention - please let us know if you are still having issues.
