jQuery Image Rotator RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to build an image rotator with jQuery that will pull a users profile picture from a group and display the image.  I found some code that looks like it should work on the site the problem I'm running into is that it doesn't seem to work for groups.  I had no problem implementing the code with a picture library but I want the image to be pulled from a group.  Can anyone offer any guidance on how to modify this code so it works for a group instead of a picture library?

  • The one at uses web service calls and is very interesting, but requires two calls to the server, one to load the page and one to get the web service results.

Can you get a list of the users and URLs to their pictures into any kind of a list web part? If so take a look here:

This is just a list web part, a Content Editor Web Part and some JavaScript and could be tweaked to "rotate" through any list of image URLs. It would be interesting to rewrite my example in JQuery. It probably drop it in size by 75%. (but you would need to add the JQuery library to your site).
