    the:

    System.Globalization.CultureInfo.CurrentCulture.DateTimeFormat.AbbreviatedMonthNames

property usually return me the abbreviated version of month names (... Jan for January, Feb for February and so on) but in japanese it return just the month number.

Is it an acceptable form or I should try to fit the complete month name in the field?

I did set the emulator to Japanese and adjusted the space to fit the month part displayed. I use the following code to display the today's date.

where s is st / nd / rd / th
