Certificate Renewal Process RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI,

We have hosted a service on our IIS and have configured SSL Certificate. The service is being used by a few partners. The certificate is up for renewal now. I wanted to know or confirm a few things as part of the renewal process - If the below steps do not sound correct, feel free to correct me -

    • Once I have the renewed certificate, I will install that certificate in the Personal certificate store with Local User and Current Machine on all the servers hosting the Service.
    • Upload the certificate in IIS by using the option "Complete Certificate Renewal" --> Although a certificate with the same name would be available - is this step needed?
    • Then provide the new certificate to all the partners who call our service so that they can update their cert store with the renewed one.
    • What do I do with the Private Key?

    Thanks!

    Thanks very much, Manoj Deshpande.

  • Hi Manoj,

    Welcome to WorkFlow forum.

In WorkFlow forum, we discuss and ask questions about Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), a programming model, engine, and tools for quickly building workflow enabled applications using .NET. Windows Workflow Foundation includes support for both system workflow and human workflow across a wide range of scenarios.

For this certificate issue, I think you can contact Microsoft certification specialist support, they will give precise solutions for you.
