  • I have been messing around with the kinect fusion explorer. I noticed that you can set the deth range near and far for the scan. How can you make the kinect fuson explorer just taget a specific spot in the frame. For example lets say that I want fusion to only give me results from a chosen postion in the field of veiw thats 1 meter x 1 meter square by 1 meter deep at a distance from the camera that I choose.

  • You can pre-process the frame data before sending it to Fusion to integrate as part of the reconstruction. Keep in mind the reconstructed world is not a 1:1 relation to the real-world. Once reconstruction of the space is integrated, from that point the exported mesh data would have to be processed yourself. Visually using MeshLab seems to be the easiest way to do that.
