  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

My Customer deploy SQL Server 2012 SP2 on its SharePoint Enterprise 2010 server.
He tries to use Report Refresh Module and get this kind of messages.

The PowerPivot data file was not saved. The Analysis Services service returned
    the following response: '<soap:Envelope
    xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><soap:Body><soap:Fault
    xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><faultcode>XMLAnalysisError.0xc1010000</faultcode><faultstring>L'erreur
système suivante s'est produite :  Invalid procedure call or
    argument</faultstring><detail><Error ErrorCode="3238068224"
Description="L'erreur système suivante s'est produite :  Invalid procedure call
or argument" Source="Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services" HelpFile=""
    /></detail></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>'.

    Help!

  • Hi Pete,

According to your description, you are experiencing the issue when refresh PowerPivot workbook in SharePoint site, right?

Data refresh is a built-in feature of PowerPivot for SharePoint, but using it requires that you run specific services and timer jobs in your SharePoint 2010 farm. Additional administrative steps, such as installing data providers and checking database permissions, are often required for data refresh to succeed. In your scenario, it hard to give the root reason that cause this issue based on the limited information. You can refer to the link below to collect to more error message.

  • I forgot to give some information.
In fact I worked with SQL Server 2012 SP1 and Sharepoint 2010.
    Report refresh worked well.
Then I upgrade to SQL Server 2012 SP2 and then I got these error messages.
