  • Hello Janaiah,

    From the application side with the .NET SmtpClient, I afraid we cannot specify the recipient folder because this class is used to send mails to target address only, for how to receive the mail and store them to which folder, it should be decided by the server application, for example, the Outlook. Not sure if you are using Outlook, if it is you could ask how to configure the recipient folder from index folder to draft folder.

    If the sever you are using are based on file system, for example, there is an exact Index/Draft folder in computer rather than the Outlook which includes all folders in a .ost file which we cannot touch these folders, with the StmpClient, you could specify location the mail should be stored as:

    client.DeliveryMethod = SmtpDeliveryMethod.SpecifiedPickupDirectory;
    client.PickupDirectoryLocation = @"D:\Drafts";

    A blog describes it details, you could also check it.
