input type=url and the virtual keyboard

    Question

  • In IE10 for Windows8 tablets, if the webpage has <input type=url />, a virtual keyboard with specific theme would appear (source). In the following image, the keyboard is shown:

    Now if the user was supposed to enter ":" in the url (port number or otherwise), the key is nowhere to find. Should the smiley icon be replaced with colon sign (":")?
