O365 automation in the cloud RRS feed

  • Question

  • Basic, high-level question here.

Is it possible to perform automation on/with/for Office 365 which is not installed 'on premise".  In other words, is installed in the cloud?

If so, what are the requirements for doing so?

    Thank you

  • Hi,

I am not really sure what your answer it, but I make the assumption that you want to automate actions that you can do in Office 365. Examples are sending an email, reading email, download and upload a document, creating appointment etc etc.

The best way to do this (but requires coding skills) is using the Microsoft Graph for Office 365. This is an API that allows you to automate almost all action in Office 365. For more information see: http://graph.microsoft.io.

Another way to automate actions on O365 is to use https://flow.microsoft.com. This allows you to create actions based on events in O365 (but also other systems like dropbox).
