Bing Maps stopped working RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been using Bing maps for several years with no problem.

Suddenly the map is not displayed, although the custom icons are showing in the correct location. The background is gray, changes to black in satelite view.

I have changed nothing on my website, any ideas ?

  • Are you using https? If so there was an issue with that yesterday. If you can provide a URL to your application I can verify if that was the issue. Also note that v6.2 was taken offline several years ago and your app is actually pulling in v6.3. Are you using a Bing Maps key with your application?

  • This sounds like the same issue I described in http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/bingmapsajax/thread/e080900c-bce3-4462-b9c4-c8f1439f162e - the tile servers seemed to go offline yesterday for a period of at least an hour - not related to https.

  • We had "dead tiles" show up over last few days, and we are using https.  We are using v7.0 of the mapcontrol  with "&s=1"

  • This issue was resolved quickly. You should not of had issues over a period of days. Are you still seeing issues? Try clearing your cache (ctrl + F5).
