SQL Server 2008 Express with Tools on Vista Home Premium RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!
    I'm trying to install
SQL Server 2008 Express with Tools on Windows Vista Home Premium. But it gives PowerShell as a requirement. I was going to install it, when I saw that PowerShell works on Vista Business, Enterprise, Ultimate. If PowerShell doesn't work on Home Premium, it means I can't use SQL Server 2008 Express with Tools on it?
    Thank you in advance.

I have searched around and have not heard that Powershell is not support on Vista Home premium. Unless there is an explicit block it should be supported.

    Thanks,

  • I thought it wasn't compatible with Home Premium because in the download page said "Supported OS: Vista Business, Enterprise, Ultimate". Maybe they wrote only some of the OS.
Thank you, today I'll try to install it and I'll let you know. Smile
