Is the new multi-core processing abilities in Win8 compatible to upcoming technologies such as HP's Memristor development? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • HP have reported that their development of memristor technology shows it may be capable of a computer on-chip with large stackable, low power memory modules with processing abilities. If so 160 processor systems may look small. Having tried win8 developer and knowing friends already using it as a main os, we have all noticed major perfomance increases, especially on the i7, over Win7. The task manager may have difficulties displaying gigabytes of cores if memory and processors become the same unit. The technology is very close.
