PUBLIC statement is gone RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I had a Windows 7 computer along with Excel 2003.

I built a number of VB macros when in the main macro

I wrote down PUBLIC and all the variables I needed to move between the different macros.

    It worked great for years.

This week I bought a new PC with Windows 10 and Excel 2019

    The problem -

I can't see the PUBLIC of the above file (see nothing, as if there was no PUBLIC definition)

    the question -

How can I see all the variables I have listed in PUBLIC

which was listed above the Sub "Fifteen"

    Thanks.

  • Where did you create the code? In a standard workbook, or in your personal macro workbook PERSONAL.XLS, or in an add-in?

  • Thanks for your replay.

    I opened new Excel sheet.

    Press record macro.

Change the name from “Macro1” to “Fifteen”

And then I start to write the macro.

Each new macro been done the same way.

After a while, when adding more code and macros

     I added the Public statement.

  • In the Visual Basic Editor, select Tools > Options...

Make sure that the check box "Default to Full Module View" is ticked, then click OK.

    Does that help?
