CUIT support for Ajax controls RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi Team,

We are having an web application developed using Ajax.

We would like to use CUIT to test the application.

Can anyone specify how is the support of CUIT for Ajax controls? Are their any limitations using CUIT for testing Ajax control?

    Regards,

    Sirisha

  • Hi sirisha,

I’m afraid that it will be related to your VS version and IE version.

For example, if you use VS2010, the coded UI test supports IE7/IE8 (including HTML/AJAX), but IE9 is only support if you have installed Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1.

    Reference:

  • Hi Sirisha,

This following MSDN document shared us all supported configurations, since it doesn’t list the Ajax control, I doubt that it still has some limitations now.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd380742(v=vs.110).aspx.

In addition, if possible, you could post this issue to the ASP.net forum, and there you would get more information about whether the specific controls support the Coded UI test. This forum will be better: http://forums.asp.net/1022.aspx/1?ASP+NET+AJAX+Ajax+Control+Toolkit.

    Best Regards,

  • Thanks Jack for redirecting to the right place.

The conclusion is that there is a full support for Ajax control in VS2010. Is that right?

    Sirisha
