Localisation string is missing an entry for the developer display locale RRS feed

All replies

  • There are two possibilities I'm aware of that can cause this:

    1. As the error suggests, the localization document is missing a string for the display locale. Please refer to this page for more info. If you don't have any localization yet and this is your first stat, then

    2. This is a known issue which can arise. Please provide your App ID and we will put in a request to fix this in the backend.

  • The localization document is only downloadable once you've configured at least one string that can be localized, so if you haven't configured any stat names or other relevant strings, there won't be anything to download yet. Based on your screenshot above, it looks like that's the case.

I've created a service request for someone to take a look at your app. We'll post updates to the thread when they are available.

  • Hey Nate, I'm having the same issue.

I'm trying to create my first leaderboard stat for my title (Title ID (decimal): 2042813249, StoreID: 9N4WNPWRCK47and it returns with the message:

The string id 'STATSLEADERBOARDS_DisplayName_600219fa-1549-4549-ae84-3bb5a0bfa996' is missing the string for the en-US locale

Localization string is missing an entry for the developer display locale

I've tried creating a new title through the dev dashboard on the browser (whereas I've originally done it through the Unity XBL Add-on), but that didn't work either. In either case I'm not able to see "Xbox Live Setup" or "Localized Strings" under Services -> Xbox Live. I haven't uploaded a package yet, and I noticed that it won't let me set localization options there unless I do. Is that an issue?

Some additional info if it helps (saw this info requested in another thread):
    Unity Version: 2018.3.0f1
    Visual Studio Version: 15.9.2
    Windows 10 SDK: 8.1.23107
XBL Unity plugin: Downloaded Feb 12/2019
Thanks for your time and any assistance you're able to provide!

  • I too have tried creating a new title Mullan7 but it hasn't worked. I've also took Creators Club support off the title and back on, hoping that reset might get it to work, but no success.

  • I need to add that as of last month my issue has been resolved, whoever did the backend fix for this, thank you!

You can try out my game Omega Rally Championship on the Xbox One as a free 24hr trail. Heck I'll give out free codes to whoever fixed it! :)
