Db2 conversion Sql Table Name with dollar $ sign RRS feed

  • Question

  • When attempting to do a conversion from Db2 to Sql Server 2017, I noticed that some of the tables mysteriously have a "$2" appended to the name.  My suspicion is the index has the same name.

Is there anyway of stopping/overriding that setting?

  • Yes, I am using SSMA and I have indeed proven that it is renaming the table instead of an index if they are the same name.  Obviously, the table names are far more important to stay the same than an index.

  • Hi,

Thanks for reporting the issue. We are working on a fix and will include it in the next release (v8.3).
