How to add shortcut to my app to Start Menu (Windows Mobile 5) RRS feed

  • Not to: Start Menu -> Programs.
     
    I try:
    a) create shortcut in \Windows\Start Menu (by SHCreateShortcut) - not work because system move my shortcut to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs :-(
    b) modify Start MRU registry  - no effect
     
    Visual Studio 2005
    Windows Mobile 5

  • The start menu can only contain a fixed number of items. Don't remember the count.......I believe that If you still want to add a shortcut you can move one of the existing shortcuts to the programs subfolder before you create your own.

  • Dear Piotr and oysts,

     

    Folder \Windows\Start Menu\ has the limitation on the number of shortcuts it contains. If we force to put a shortcut in this folder, all the lnk file will be redirect to its subfolder Programs. I have validated it.
