Outlook Assigns Send Date of 01/01/4501 on outgoing e-mails RRS feed

  • Question

  • I work in a law office.  Every so often, when we draft an e-mail and send it, Outlook randomly assigns it a send date of 01/01/4501.  Thus, the e-mail is never sent out because the send date has not occurred yet.  I understand this is a date that Microsoft assigns when there is no date value, but why does it happen only randomly on e-mails that we are sending through Outlook and which are supposed to generate their own date? This happens on multiple work stations with multiple users, so it is not restricted to one user or work station.  We use Outlook 2016.

  • Hi Tito, did you ever get a solution to this?  We are having the same problem.  Are you using Prolaw?

  • Hi Kirk:

Just today I found the answer.  ProLaw tech told me they fixed this issue with an update of their software, version 2018.1.  They also have another version for 2019: 2019.1.  We plan to update (as we are on version 2017.2) to see if that fixes the issue.  I hope this helps your situation.
