  • Question

  • Hello there,

    I'm getting this error :

    Error: 1 (Field level error)

    SegmentID: LOC

    Position in TS: 12

    Data Element ID: C51901

    Position in Segment: 4

    Position in Field: 1

    Data Value: TCSP12021022\2

    21: Invalid character found

For what I understand it doesn't accept the "\" character.

This works fine in Biztalk 2006 but since I migrated the solution to Biztalk 2010 (still in test environment) this stopped working.
    Any help?

  • Hi,

Most likely the BizTalk 2006 EDI implementation did not strictly enforce the EDIFACT standard.  The BizTalk 2010 EDI implementation does.

Note: BizTalk 2006 had a limited implementation of EDI (Base EDI Adapter) which was written by COVAST.  COVAST also sold a full EDI implementation.  From BizTalk 2006 R2 forward Microsoft brought/rewrote this functionality.

    Thanks,

    William

  • When using the UNOA encoding, only very basic characters are allowed.

    Change to at least UNOC

See http://mohsinkalam.wordpress.com/encodings/ for complete character list
