  • I've created a lending library site using the application template available in our SharePoint Services 3.0 software (Sharepoint 2007). We'd like to change some of the field names and remove some unwanted fields, and ensure the permissions are correct. Can you tell me how to accomplish this?

    For example, I've deleted columns such as purchase price, date acquired, retired date, current value, location and description. We'd like to remove Checked Out Condition and Checked In Condition columns from the Transactions list / Check Out view. We'd like to change the word use of 'Asset' to Books.

    I can't get to the transactions list settings - there is not a link for that. How do I edit that list's settings to change the wording for 'asset' and delete the checked out condition and checked in condition columns?
