C++ Intellisense

    Question

  • I'm glad there's better intellisense support for C++ in VS 2011, but is there a way of making it behave the same way as in C#?

    As far as I can tell at the moment there don't seem to be any options to customise it's behaviour e.g. custom characters to commit to a selection in the completion list. Since you can achieve the same with tab or Enter, why not allow the full intellisense experience with C++?

    Are there any plans to include this in later builds?

  • I think you are correct as far as customizing the behavior in the Developer Preview version of Visual Studio 11.

    Visual Studio 11 is still in its infancy and realize that it will have more than just Metro style app programming.  Sending feedback now on C++ features will be very helpful!  Please enter your feedback on the connect site.  This will enter a bug in the system that the product team will review.
