intelisense icons... RRS feed

  • ok lets admit it...visual studios intelisense is good but not nearly as good as Small Basics, agreed? but until 4.0 is out i was wondering if there was a part of the library that tells you what each icon represents? example: "little blue icon = local variable"
    cause not all of the featured text in intelisense is tagged...

  • If you unzip the images that ship with VS then you can see most of the icons that VS uses including the one's you're curious about.  Personally I don't consider the icons that useful since the context will generally give away what something is.  Still you can find the icons that are used at: <vsdir>\common7\VS2008ImageLibrary\1033\VS2008ImageLibrary -> Objects\24bit_bitmaps.  The ones that start with VSObject are used by VS.  The others are used by other portions of VS.
