Can I place buttons above margins?

Hello, I have added custom buttons in my app. It is recommended that the top margin must be 140 pixels. So, Can I place my navigation buttons or Text boxes above the top margin, that is beside the page title ?

yes you can. in 8.1 you see also the searchbox there often. Also somee apps implement the pageTitle as kind of combobox for selecting different views. BUt it all depends on the purpose.
For navigation its maybe better to use the top appbar
