Option Strict On disallows late binding

I have option strict on

and I am trying to get button name when I click on button and under buttons event I have

sender.name which shows error message Option Strict On disallows late binding

tell me how do i fix that, i want to get button name , also tell me what does Option Strict do?

Essentially Option Strict On means you have to specify the type of Object. So in your code you would use something like:

Dim mybutton as Button = CType(sender, Button)
mybutton.Name =
