  • Question

  • I'm looking for a reference that covers all the XML tags for .docx file format. Tags such as <w:r>. Is there such a reference that exists?

    Thanks.

  • The reference is ECMA-376 (http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/Ecma-376.htm) or an ISO equivalent (ISO29500, which I think you have to pay for).

The WordProcessingXML is in Part 1 Section 17. The specific tag you've identified is in Section 17.3.2.25 "r (Text Run)".

    Does that answer the question?

  • The ISO standard is free in electronic form - see near the bottom of this page - http://standards.iso.org/ittf/PubliclyAvailableStandards/index.html - for the various components of ISO 29500.
