Outlook Contact Note field RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi..

I want to retrieve note field data from outlook contact. I am using MAPIEX library (Available on codeproject) for that.

I am able to retrieve simple text data from that field, but as  outlook note field also support note and message inside it, i want to read that data also, if any of my contact contains it.

    Please guide on this..!!

    Thanks.

  • You will need to open the PR_RTF_COMPRESSED proeprty as IStream, then usse WrapCompressedRTFStream() to decompress the RTF.

Or yo ucan use ContactItem.RTFBody in the Outlook Object Model.

The embedded images are stored as OLE attachments. If you are are streaming the RTF into an RTF control, it provides callbacks (when replacing the placeholders with the actual data) that you can use to provide the OLE object data for each attachment

  • Do you mean you need to extract the rich text (RTF) from the contact?
