How do I enable Web services without using the configuration tool? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I've installed MDS on a domain controller (development environment) and you can't use the configuration tool on a DC. How do I enable the web services not using the configuration tool.

    Thanks,

    Morten

  • Hello
    I made a comparison between the web.config with /without Web Service enabled

    and so I think you just have to add this : (typically in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\Master Data Services\WebApplication\Web.Config)
    just replace "MDS1" by your own value
     <service behaviorConfiguration="mdsWsHttpBehavior" name="MDS1">
    <endpoint binding="wsHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="mdsWsHttpBinding"
      bindingNamespace="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/masterdataservices/2009/09"
      contract="Microsoft.MasterDataServices.Services.ServiceContracts.IService" />
     </service>
