Is it possible to create c# Editor RRS feed

  • Is it possible to create c# Editor.

    i need a control that should work exactly like C# editor. It should do activities like intlisense,expression builder,statement builder,checking conditions etc...
    it should be like exactly an C# editor in Visual Studio .Net

  • The source code for much of .NET is available as part of a project named "mono". I don't know if it includes the editor. You could "bing" on ".NET mono" and see what you find out.

  • It doesn't.  If you want a full-featured editor that looks a lot like the one in Visual Studio then try Scintilla.NET.

  • The SharpDevelop editor is probably as close to your requirements as you are going to get in an open source project.

    You should probably replace the Program Manager that told you that.  Your project is a complex one, requiring dedication from all members of the development team.

    It certainly is possible.  Microsoft and a number of other companies have written code IDE's of this exact nature.  So, what you want is certainly possible.
