  • I didn't get an option 'Join Azure AD' as mentioned in the below link
    https://aadguide.azurewebsites.net/aadjoin/

I think, below link is not applicable for me, as I dont have on-prem AD, i have Azure AD and Azure AD Domain Services. I am not sure what else I missed,

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/device-management-hybrid-azuread-joined-devices-setup

I used the below commend, AzureAdJoined : No is what I get,
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/device-management-troubleshoot-hybrid-join-windows-current

    dsregcmd /status

  •  I would like to know how to join a domain joined machine into Azure AD using Hybrid.

When you mentioned a "Domain Joined Machine" - which domain is the machine currently joined to if you do not have any On-Premise environment ?

Is it to the the same "domain" that you have registered with Azure AD "azeuptst.com"  ?

If yes, you have to follow the normal steps to "Join a Windows 10" machine to a domain.

  • I have a Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Domain Services.

I have a couple of Azure VMs - one is Windows 10 Pro N 1709, another one is Server 2016.

I dont have on-prem, so I didn't use AD Connector.

Now, i m trying to join a workgroup Windows 10 VM to Azure AD, it just showed me as Azure AD Registered.

I have configured the Device Settings and User settings properly to allow the user to join their machine in Azure AD.

    Am I missing something here?

  • I have configured the Device Settings and User settings properly to allow the user to join their machine in Azure AD.

Those settings will be applicable for managing devise using Azure AD.

You can verify whether a device is joined to an Azure AD.

If you want to join Windows VM to Azure ADDS-managed domain by following the steps:

    1. Open Control Panel\System and Security\System.
    2. Then go to computer name, domain and workgroup settings and select change settings.
    3. Now select the option to rename computer or change its domain or workgroup.
    4. You can enter the domain name willing to connect in domain field.
    5. Now You are prompted to enter your credentials to join the domain. Ensure that you specify the credentials for a user that belongs to the Azure AD DC administrators group. Only members of this group have privileges to join machines to the managed domain.

You may also refer: Join a Windows Server virtual machine to a managed domain
